Mr. and Mrs. Everett (Belinda Opferkuch) Gibson of Leesville celebrated 50 years of marriage June 9, 2024 . Their children and spouses are Laurel (the Rev. Bruce) Fletcher of Damascus, Ark. and the Rev. Joseph (Angela) Gibson of Vidor, Texas. Everett and Belinda were married June 9, 1974 in Westlake, La., and have four grandchildren,  Ashley (Andrew) Wingo of Dayton, Ohio, Caleb Fletcher of Damascus, Ark., Emma Gibson, and Lily Gibson, both of Vidor, Texas and four great-grandchildren, Holly, Isobel, Eli and Oliva of Dayton, Ohio.
